7CR AUTO TONOMETER

+ CORNEAL RESPONSE TECHNOLOGY

Manufacturer: REICHERT
Product code: TOR7CR

The "Glaucoma Tonometer"

+ Corneal Response Technology® and IOPcc

The Reichert 7CR from Reichert Technologies utilises a patented bi-directional applanation process to characterise the biomechanical properties of the cornea and reduce their impact on the IOP measurement. This measurement, referred to as Corneal Compensated IOP (IOPcc) is minimally affected by corneal visco-elastic properties, thickness, or surgical procedures such as LASIK or PRK. As such, IOPcc is a better indicator of glaucoma risk than other methods of tonometry, including Goldmann Applanation.

The Reichert 7CR is more clinically valid in all subjects, including: normal tension glaucoma patients, primary open angle glaucoma patients, post-LASIK and refractive surgery patients, patients with Fuchs' or corneal edema, keratoconus patients, and patients with thick, thin, or otherwise biomechanically atypical corneas.

The speed and simplicity of the Reichert 7CR are unlike any other tonometer!

  • Easy-to-use, touch screen interface

  • Patients simply lean against the forehead rest

  • Alignment is completely automated

  • One-touch, triple measurement mode

  • Clearly displays all measurement data

  • Internal printer simplifies record keeping

  • Electronic data transfer via USB port

  • Optional Chinrest

Waveform score = reliable results

The 7CR uses advanced signal analysis to score each reading for reliability. Low-quality measurements are flagged, and multiple readings are intelligently averaged based on these scores – ensuring consistent, accurate results every time. No other tonometer offers this level of objective feedback.

Fully automated, non-contact measurements

The 7CR’s collimated air jet and electro-optical system deliver gentle, contact-free measurements – no drops, no discomfort, and no cross-contamination. Alignment and capture are fully automated, making testing quick and stress-free for both patient and operator.

Real-time applanation control

During each 25 ms measurement, the 7CR captures 400 real-time data points to precisely control the applanation force – tailored to each eye for optimal accuracy.

Effortless for users & comfortable for patients

A full-colour touchscreen and intuitive icons guide the user through the entire process, from alignment to results. Patients simply rest against the forehead support while the device handles everything automatically.

See how much you could save with the 7CR

For Goldmann and iCare, Cost of device has been set to zero as it is assumed that the device has already been purchased. Costs for Service/ calibration and Disposable prims/ tips are indicative only and actual costs should be entered.

What is GIRFT – and why does it matter?

Getting It Right First Time (GIRFT) is a national NHS programme focused on improving patient outcomes, cutting costs, and reducing unnecessary referrals through smarter, more consistent decision-making.

In ophthalmology, GIRFT encourages better alignment between optometrists and hospital eye services, especially in glaucoma referral refinement.

That’s where the Reichert 7CR comes in.

By providing IOPcc and IOPg readings – the same pressure metrics used in hospital glaucoma clinics, the 7CR helps you refer more accurately, avoid unnecessary discharges, and protect your clinical reputation.

Support NHS goals. Build patient trust. Get It Right First Time.
